BY THERESA SMITH, Poetry Editor
I’ve been checking out the blog for the hot and forthcoming magazine Artifice put together by our intrepid (and ever-amusing) former Editor-in-Chief Rebekah Silverman (known as r) and former Fiction Editor Tadd Adcox (known as t). Judging from their past work (and oh, we do) it should be amazing. In their words:
“Artifice Magazine is devoted to fiction and poetry aware of its own artifice–pastiche, mash-ups, cut-ups, experiments gone awry, sly metafiction with heart, whatever. We’re a print magazine tentatively scheduled to put out our first issue in Jan 2010 (tell your friends!). We’re liable to start taking submissions summer of this year (tell them to tell their friends!). For now, you can depend on this blog to learn about the joys and mysteries of putting together a literary magazine.”
Only good things would come from checking this out. And word now comes that they’re accepting submissions beginning on May 15th. YOW!
