Richard Bausch to judge the 2008 Wabash Prize in Fiction!

That's right folks; it's time to begin polishing those stories for the 2008 Wabash Prize in Fiction!

Our contest this year will be judged by the venerable Richard Bausch.  Mr. Bausch is the author of nine novels and seven volumes of short stories. His work has appeared in the New Yorker, the Atlantic Monthly, Esquire, Playboy, GQ, Harper's Magazine, and other publications, and has been featured in numerous best-of collections, including the O. Henry Awards' Best American Short Stories and New Stories from the South. In 2004 he won the PEN/Malamud Award for Excellence in the Short Story.

We here at the journal are very excited to have Mr. Bausch judge our contest. The contest deadline in March 15, 2008 (not a postmark date).  Complete guidelines will be available on the website soon, so check back for details.
