Conversations with Woody Allen
Book review of Conversations with Woody Allen: His Films, the Movies, and Moviemaking.
Reviewed as being an entertaining read, the book walks us through Allen's works from the early 70's to 2005, offering some insight into the real man behind such great films as Annie Hall and Manhattan. Eric Lax, the author, promises to "offer 'a clear view' of Allen’s transformation 'from novice to one of the world’s most acclaimed filmmakers.'"
A telling quote from the ever-so-quirky man as we know him:
“Rather than live on in the hearts and minds of my fellow man, I’d prefer to live on in my apartment.”
