Aaron Sorkin, creator of The West Wing (and more importantly, Sports Night) will return to television with "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," set in the world of a fictional sketch comedy show (do I feel inklings of Sports Night?), according to this New Yorker article.  FTA:

Here, as in his earlier shows, Sorkin’s gang seems diverse and all-American and meritocratic, but it is really an aristocracy of talent; the characters repeatedly disdain the growing reach of the rabble.
